Litter collection
The Beat it Team are coming to Ashton from the 4th February to 8th February. If you know of any area in your neighbourhood that needs cleaning up please contact me.

The footpath between York Road and Mill Street is very badly littered with crisp packets, chocolate wrappers, cans, plastic bottles, fast food cartons etc stuck firmly underneath bushes and shrubs. It must be about 2 years ago since the last clean up. Most of the litters seems to be generated from foodstuffs bought either at the fast food places in Ashton or the small shop on Mill Street.
It would be really good if the Beat It Team could clean this area and perhaps get Wigan Council Cleansing Department to clean the area on a more regular basis.
