Hi Nigel, seasons greeting!! I have just seen your post on the Town Centre regeneration proposal and wondered if you had set up a working group to implement / or not any suggestions that BDP have?
Why do we have to pay outside planners to get suggestions from local residence what do we pay the planners at the town hall for mind you their recent track record hasnt been very good. But surely this is what the council are for and you as a rep of that council should be doing what these planners will chrge a small fortune for. Put the money into Ashton not these private planners pockets who dont give a dam about the people of Ashton.
Debbie
I will be happy to meet any person or group that wishes to take part in this survey with a view to passing back comments to BDP. I will also try and organise a meeting with BDP if you wish to meet them.
Hi Nigel
Thank you for the offer. I was to be honest thinking about a group that would be taking forward any ideas that they propose. Maybe it would be a good to have them address the local community groups and retailers at some point all together, (I think that I have read somewhere that they are possibly going to have an open meeting) Do we know what kind of response they had and how many people got involved with the survey?
On the same subject, do we have any further details of when we can expect the Lift Centre to go ahead? (I thought that there was only a limited amount of time before the funding was withdrawn?
