- Nigel was elected to Wigan MBC in May 2006 and was previously a Councillor from 2000 to 2004 . He has three grown up children and a grandchild Michael born in October 2007 He is a keen Liverpool FC supporter and enjoys going to the theatre, cinema and live music concerts. Nigel was re-elected in May 2010 to serve the people of Ashton for another four years

Dear Nigel,
I have resorted to this as I cannot find a contact detail anywhere for you. My name is Richard Delaney, I have been asked to write an article regarding the skatepark in ashton. I would be very interested in hearing your opinions on the facility. Me and my friend Matthew Andrews were involved heavily in the earlier campaign for the park and so I have a vested interest in the facility, therefore I look forward to hearing your response.
I appreciate you are a very busy man and as such I will email you some brief questions, if you would be interested in contributing.
