I have attended two other switch ons in the ward - at Golborne Road park organised by Stubshaw Cross Residents Association and on Bolton Road organised by the Town Green Residents Association. The Mayor of Wigan Myra Whiteside attended this event and we were serenaded with Christmas songs by the Milltown Sound ladies choir
Both were affected by the rotten weather but despite that they were well organised and enjoyed by those who attended.
Sorry there are no pictures of the Stubshaw Cross event - my camera failed. If any one would like to send me photos I will put them on the blog.
