Clearly the Labour Party were given a massive thumbs down from the electorate and it is up to us to listen to what the public are telling us and bring in policies that will resonate with the public especially in relation to public housing, jobs and immigration.
At a local level I will continue to work with groups and local people and continue to canvass their opinions. I am sure that local people will tell me exactly where we are going wrong.

And given that Labour was only chosen by one in every sixteen eligible voters in Wigan why focus your attention on the BNP just because they are more popular than you at the moment.Not that I like them any more than you do)
I have answered your first point I have answered in a later blog.
On why I single out the BNP for special attention, in short they are the only political party who actively discriminate against people and form policies purely on the basis of the colour of an individual's skin. I equate this with how Hitler's fascists and the white supremists in South Africa during apartheid conducted themselves. I find this obnoxious and goes against everything I believe in.

Calling your own townsfolk Nazi's is an absolute disgrace! It is yours and that of all the other Labour Party officials failings and prejudice against it's "own" that has ensured the British National Party once again returned the highest number of votes anywhere in the north west!
